How To Store Donuts
Donut, a food you can easily buy during the morning time. And this donut is tastiest when you eat right away after you buy, since it is fresh! However, when you can not eat all the donuts you bought due to being full, you have to store the donuts somehow. If you leave the remaining donuts in the box the donuts were originally in, like you have just bought, then the donuts will lose their taste quickly. To prevent that, we will explore the ways we can store donuts for different temperatures.
The first case is storing the donuts at room temperature. First thing to know is that when donuts are stored at room temperature, donuts, excluding donuts with cream init, can usually last 1 or 2 days with the good storing methods. One of those methods is an airtight case, so that donuts can be protected from germs and being dry. Similar thing we can use other than the airtight case is a storage bag with zipper, that does a similar thing as an airtight storage. However, you would want to put some air in it, so that glaze does not stick to the bag. When you eat the donut again, you can just put them in the microwave for 10 seconds to eat the warm donut again.
The other case is storing the donuts inside the refrigerator. In this case, we can store normal donuts and cream filled donuts for a week with good storing methods. However, donuts with glaze can sometimes make water inside the refrigerator, so it is better to store those glazed donuts at room temperature. When you store it in the refrigerator, you should use things that can cover donuts, like aluminum foil. If you try to use an airtight case or storage bag, they will trap the moisture inside the donut, causing the donut to be ruined. When you eat donuts again from the refrigerator, simply microwave for 30~40 seconds.
The last way we can store the donut is by freezing the donuts. By doing so, donuts can be stored for 2 to 3 months, but it needs a lot of work. Also, freezing the donuts will make the flavor of the donut change. To have tasty donuts, this is not a recommended storing method. And for how to freeze the donuts, I will skip it.
Donuts can be stored in several ways to keep their taste. If you bought a little more than what you eat, try storing it and eat the donuts later.
